El fantástico rioplatense como identidad

    El presente trabajo es el resultado de una investigación realizada para definir el género del fantástico rioplatense, en el curso de la materia Literaturas Latinoamericanas y del Caribe II de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. Dentro de las vanguardias poéticas que se generaron en Latinoamérica a principios del Siglo XX, existió un grupo de escritores que no se dedicaron a la poesía, sino a la narrativa. Entre ellos, se encontraba el escritor uruguayo Felisberto Hernández, quien logró definir a través de su escritura los límites de este género del fantástico con características del espacio geográfico del Río de la Plata. A través del camino de las vanguardias narrativas de principios del siglo XX, para luego pasar por la definición del género fantástico, se desarrollará la escritura del escritor uruguayo a través del cuento "El balcón". Se realizará finalmente una lectura comparativa entre la narrativa y el estilo de este autor y de Mariana Enríquez, escritora argentina con su cuento titulado “Bajo el agua negra”. La presente investigación ha llegado a la conclusión que ambos autores utilizaron su escritura como modo de expresión de su identidad geográfica.

    The present work is the result of a research carried out to define the genre of the fantásticorioplatense, in the course of the Latin American and Caribbean Literatures II subject of the National Pedagogical University. Within the poetic avant-garde that were generated in Latin America at the beginning of the 20th Century, there was a group of writers who did not dedicate themselves to poetry but to narrative. Among them was the Uruguayan writer Felisberto Hernández, who managed to define through his writing the limits of this fantasy genre with characteristics of the geographical space of the Río de la Plata. Through the path of the narrative avant-garde of the early 20th century, and then through the definition of the fantastic genre, the Uruguayan writer's writing will develop through the story "El balcón." Finally, a comparative reading will be carried out between the narrative and style of this author and Mariana Enríquez, an Argentine writer, with her story titled "Bajo el agua negra". The present investigation has reached the conclusion that both authors use their writing as a way of expressing their geographical identity.
