  • Resumen
    • In his anthology 2059 d. C. y otros cuentos (2016), Puerto Rican author Max Chárriez mixes various subgenres such as science fiction, fantasy, and comics. This results in a certain queerness due to the mixture of genres and gender issues. In this paper, I first introduce the figure of Chárriez within the Puerto Rican science fiction genre and then proceed to discuss its most common themes using his stories. This essay's primary goal will be to demonstrate his contribution to Puerto Rican futuristic science fiction, represented by a cultural resistance linked to sexuality infused with profound social criticism
