MACS is the most common hormone abnormality diagnosed in patients with adrenal nodules and is associated with increased risk for cardiometabolic disease, vertebral fractures, and mortality. While adrenalectomy may improve cardiometabolic complications in select patients with MACS, decisions about management should be individualized based on the presence of relevant comorbidities and patient characteristics.
