Contribuições dos pesquisadores do Distrito Federal para o conhecimento da cultura da mentha (período 1985 – 2021)

    Menses are cultivated herbs of great importance for use as flavorings, flavorings and phytotherapics. Research into the culture of minds is abundant all over the world. The objective of the present study was to survey and analyze the contributions of researchers from the Federal District on the genus Mentha, from 1985 to 2021. The objective was to classify and quantify the various contributions of the research by thematic area and to analyze the results achieved evaluating their relevance. A survey of the bibliographic references was done, the analytical thematic classification of the contributions, determined the level of visibility and the number of references found for each theme. The advances in the knowledge of the subject were analyzed and the impact of the various contributions was discussed. Seventy seven references were found to research work on Mentha culture involving researchers from the FederalDistrict during the aforementioned period, mainly Embrapa and the University of Brasilia. The most researched themes were: chemotypes, phytopathology, vegetative propagation and studies on external morphology. The knowledge obtained is important for the knowledge of the potential of the Mentha species cultivated in the Federal District.

    As mentas são ervas cultivadas de grande importância para uso como flavorizantes, aromatizantes e fitoterápicos. A pesquisa sobre a cultura das mentas é abundante no mundo inteiro. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi levantar e analisar as contribuições dos pesquisadores do Distrito Federal sobre o gênero Mentha, havidas no período 1985-2021. Objetivou-se classificar e quantificar as diversas contribuições da pesquisa por área temática e analisar os resultados conseguidos avaliando a sua relevância. Foi feito o levantamento das referências bibliográficas, a classificação temática analítica das contribuições, determinado o nível de visibilidade e o número de referências encontradas para cada tema. Analisaram-se os avanços no conhecimento do assunto e discutiu-se o impacto das diversas contribuições. Foram encontradas 77 referências de trabalhos de pesquisa sobre a cultura da Mentha envolvendo pesquisadores do Distrito Federal no citado período, mormente da Embrapa e da Universidade de Brasília. Os temas mais pesquisados foram: quimiotipos, fitopatologia, propagação vegetativa e estudos de morfologia externa. Os conhecimentos obtidos apresentam-se como importantes para o conhecimento do potencial das espécies de Mentha cultivadas no Distrito Federal.
