Adjetivos e advérbios como operadores argumentativos

    Inserted in the view theoretical of the Argumentative Semantics delineatedby Oswald Ducrot (1972), for who the argument is the basic function ofthe language, and anchored in the principle postulated by Anscombreand Ducrot (1983) that says that “the argument is in the language”, thisstudy objective, in an ample direction, to argue the question of thegradation in the argumentative processes. On this context, making aprompter clipping, it inquirys to examine a set of statements whereadjectives and adverbs, with emptied lexical function, exert, as Ducrotconsiders (1995, 2002), the function of argumentatives operators,powering or attenuating (and, even, inverting) the argumentative strengthof names and verbs.

    Inserido no quadro teórico da Semântica Argumentativa delineada por Oswald Ducrot (1972), para quem a argumentação é a função fundamental da linguagem, e ancorado no princípio postulado por Anscombre & Ducrot (1983) de que “a argumentação está na língua”, este estudo objetiva, em sentido amplo, discutir a questão da gradualidade nos processos argumentativos. Dentro desse contexto, fazendo um recorte mais pontual, busca examinar um conjunto de enunciados em que adjetivos e advérbios, com função lexical esvaziada, exercem, como propõe Ducrot (1995, 2002), a função de operadores argumentativos, potencializando ou atenuando (e, mesmo, invertendo) a força argumentativa de nomes e verbos.
