    Este artigo visa a apresentar, entre as teorias da Análise do Discurso, o Modelo de Análise Modular (MAM), que consiste num instrumento eficiente para uma abordagem interacionista da complexidade discursiva. O MAM oferece um quadro teórico-metodológico que permite ao analista a compreensão da complexidade discursiva, a partir da articulação entre os planos linguístico, textual e situacional do discurso. Justifica-se a escolha desta teoria com o intento de apresentá-la e ainda contribuir para que a comunidade acadêmica conheça a versão atual do modelo, bem como as discussões teóricas e os trabalhos que têm surgido em diferentes pesquisas no Brasil, que tomam o MAM como aporte teórico-metodológico. Na primeira parte do artigo serão realizadas algumas considerações sobre o modelo e seu surgimento e logo após definidos os elementos basilares para a sua criação, bem como as etapas que marcaram sua história. Na seção seguinte, serão apresentados os módulos e as formas de organização do discurso no MAM para, em seguida, tecer os comentários conclusivos.

    This article aims to present, within the theories of Discourse Analysis, the Modular Analysis Model (MAM), that consists in a efficient instrument of interactionist approach of the discursive complexity. The MAM has a structure theorist-methodological that permits the analyst to understand the discursive complexity, starting from the articulation between textual, situational and linguistic plans of discourse. The choice of this theory has the intention to introduce and to contribute for the knowledge of the academic community and the current version of the model, as well as the theoretical discussions and the jobs in different searches in Brazil that uses the MAM. In the first part of the article will be made someconsiderations about the model and its incipience and after defined the basic elements for its foundation, and the steps that have marked its history. In the following section will be presented modules and the forms of organization of discourse in MAM and then weave the concluding comments.
