    Entre las crisis estructurales y coyunturales del momento, agregado a cierto desdén por parte de la región entera, Centroamérica conmemoró durante los últimos doce meses, los 200 años de la independencia política del Reino de España. Fue un momento propicio para el análisis retrospectivo y prospectivo, para revisar las lecciones aprendidas, así como de las oportunidades que se le presentan a la región en el mundo de hoy.

    Between the structural and conjunctural crises of the moment, added to a certain disdain on the part of the entire region, Central America commemorated during the last twelve months, the 200 years of political independence from the Kingdom of Spain. It was a propitious moment for retrospective and prospective analysis, to review the lessons learned, as well as the opportunities that are presented to the region in today's world.
