Productive, rural architecture shapes an ensemble of constructions considered heritage due to the convergence of two requirements on which most of the researchers agree: the cultural belonging and tradition. It includes agricultural buildings related with production and raw materials transformation, and it is composed by a wide typological variety that comes from the specific response to the functions they were created to.Works, knowledge and ancient techniques and, therefore, architectures that do not belong to our time anymore, but because of that they would not have to disappear. In order to work with an architecture from the past, currently recognized but generally not protected, it looks pertinent to consider when it started arousing the intelectuals interest, which cualities and values are detected in the researchs already done, and which are the heritage regulations that can be applied to it. For this reason, it is necessary to review the laws, masterplans, letters and recommendations that affect to these architectures (and landscapes) and consider them (directly or indirectly) heritage. This work aims to sintetize all these aspects, this is to say, to elaborate a state of art that allows o recognize better all these architectures within their rational legal frame in order to reflect about its future
