A portrait of Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough, at Christchurch Mansion, Suffolk, is identified here as a work by Godfrey Kneller of the early 1690s. It is also tentatively proposed that it may have formed a bequest from the duchess to her maidservant, who was a trusted confidant.
