    La emigración canaria en Cuba presenta diferentes ritmos de evolución y al mismo tiempo unas constantes que la caracterizan y diferencian frente a otras migraciones peninsulares. Desde el análisis de la revista Islas Canarias de La Habana, órgano de la colonia canaria en Cuba durante varios años, el presente trabajo pretende profundizar en la imagen que los canarios tenían de sí mismos y en algunos aspectos cualitativos y peculiares de la presencia canaria en Cuba.

    Emigration from the Canary Islands to Cuba showed different rhythms of development and at the same time some constant features that characterize and differentiate it from other peninsular emigration. Based on an analysis of the magazine Lslas Canarias of Havana, for several years the voice of the colony from the Canary Islands living in Cuba, this article endeavors to examine the image they had of themselves as well as some of the qualitative and peculiar aspects of their presence in Cuba.
