Knowing the reasons that lead young people to practice any kind of sport activity, the reinforcements that make them continue and the reasons that bring about the premature withdrawal are some of the items we try to approach in this article. The questionnaire used in thissurvey is an adaptation from the one developed by García Ferrando(1995) entitled "Sports Habits of Spanish People". The results showthat in the majority of questions, there is a significant difference in the interests and habits with regard to men and women, and that thistends to disappear if we compare and analyze the different educational levels in the first cycle of University education.
