¿Aliados o traidores?: Representaciones sociales en X sobre la relación entre los hombres y el feminismo en España

    Este estudio examina las dinámicas discursivas en X (anteriormente Twitter) sobre la relación entre hombres y feminismo en España, con un enfoque particular en la figura del “aliado” u hombre feminista. A través del análisis de los discursos sobre su inclusión en el movimiento feminista, se investiga la diversidad de posicionamientos y las percepciones generadas en torno a esta figura. Utilizando minería de datos y modelos topológicos, se analiza tanto el texto como las imágenes de las publicaciones de la red social. Los resultados revelan que la mayoría de las intervenciones sobre este tema provienen de hombres, quienes a menudo se sitúan en marcos antifeministas, estigmatizando a los varones aliados como "traidores de género". En contraposición, los discursos feministas digitales predominan en sectores del feminismo radical, que abogan por la exclusión de los hombres en espacios de decisión dentro del movimiento. Se destaca la ausencia de perspectivas desde otras corrientes feministas sobre este asunto.

    This study examines discursive dynamics on X (formerly Twitter) in Spain concerning the relationship between men and feminism, with particular attention to the figure of the male feminist “ally.” By analyzing debates over men’s inclusion in the feminist movement, the study identifies the range of positions and perceptions attached to this figure. We use data mining techniques and topological models to analyze both the textual and visual content of posts. The findings show that men produce most interventions on this topic and often frame them within anti-feminist discourses that stigmatize male allies as “gender traitors.” In contrast, feminist digital discourse on this issue appears primarily within radical feminist positions that argue against men’s participation in decision-making spaces within the movement. The analysis also reveals a notable absence of perspectives from other feminist currents. Overall, the results map a highly polarized discursive field in which anti-feminist and exclusionary feminist positions dominate public discussion about the relationship between men and feminism in Spain.
