    Las cátedras universitarias son un instrumento de colaboración que ha adquirido una mayor notoriedad en el territorio valenciano en los últimos años. A través del mecenazgo y patrocinio, las empresas, las administraciones públicas y otras entidades sociales aportan financiación a la universidad para la creación de cátedras, con el fin de establecer relaciones estables para la realización de actividades de formación, investigación, transferencia y divulgación en torno a un interés o tema en común. Este estudio pretende realizar una primera aproximación al fenómeno de las cátedras universitarias en las universidades valencianas, cuantificando su magnitud y clasificándolas. Así mismo, se presentarán los resultados de las entrevistas prospectivas realizadas hasta la fecha para comprender el funcionamiento de las cátedras y los potenciales beneficios de esta forma de alianza estratégica entre la universidad y su entorno.

    University chairs are an instrument of collaboration that has acquired greater notoriety in the Valencian territory in recent years. Through patronage and sponsorship, companies, public administrations, and other social entities provide funding to the university for the creation of chairs, with the aim of establishing stable relationships to carry out training, research, transfer and dissemination activities around a common interest or topic. This study aims to make a first approach to the phenomenon of university chairs in Valencian universities, quantifying their prevalence and classifying them. It will also present the results of the prospective interviews carried out to date to understand the functioning of the chairs and the potential benefits of this form of strategic alliance between the university and its environment.
