    Las unidades de producción familiar (UPF) son el sistema de producción en el medio rural y la base para la seguridad alimentaria mexicana. La UPF de estudio se ubica en Calapa, Chignahuapan, Puebla. Se conforma por cuatro miembros en la familia, 1.5 ha de superficie, manejan tres subsistemas productivos: agrícola, pecuario y forestal, realizan cinco actividades de temporal: 1) siembra de maíz, 2) forraje, 3) cosecha de manzana, 4) venta de leche y 5) venta de carne. La investigación tiene como objetivo: evaluar social y económicamente la UPF mediante la metodología de diagnóstico agrario para determinar los beneficios e impactos del sistema productivo y así emitir recomendaciones afines a los intereses del productor. Los resultados indican que: el subsistema ganadero es el que más aporta valor económico, seguido del subsistema agrícola y por último el subsistema forestal. El Valor del jornal familiar es de $391.00, superior al Salario mínimo (SM) de la zona que es de $ 300.00. El Ingreso Familiar Total (IFT) anual es de $95 409.00 que es suficiente para lograr la seguridad alimentaria de cuatro integrantes de la familia y para poder reinvertir en las actividades productivas. El Nivel de Reproducción Social (NRS) es positivo y con posibilidad de mejorar la UPF viviendo en el medio rural.

    Production Units Familiar (UPF) are the production system in rural areas and the basis for Mexican food security. The UPF study is located in Calapa, Chignahuapan, Puebla. It has four family members, it 1.5 ha of surface, handle three productive subsystems: agricultural, livestock and forestry, perform five seasonal activities (of temporary): 1) sowing corn, 2) forage, 3) harvest apple 4) the sale of milk and 5) meat. The research has as objetive: evaluate social and economically the UPF through the agricultural diagnosis methodology to determine the benefits and impacts of the productive system and thus issue recommendations related to the interests of the producer. The results obtained are: The livestock subsystem is the one that contributes the most economic value, followed by the agricultural subsystem and finally the forestry subsystem. The value of the family wage is $391, higher than the minimum wage (SM) of the area, which is $300. The annual Total Family Income (TFI) is $95 409, which is enough to achieve food security for four members family and to be able to reinvest in productive activities. The Social Reproduction Level (NRS) is positive and with the possibility to improve the UPF and living in a rural environment.
