    A presente colaboración pretende contribuír, con tanta humildade coma rigor, ao coñecemento dos estudos lingüísticos da autoría de Xesús Alonso Montero. Coa vontade de ordenación e revisión dos estudos do profesor, no artigo ofrécese unha clasificación das súas publicacións dedicadas á situación da lingua galega dende 1952 ata 2025. Os inicios de Alonso Montero ocupan un apartado importante deste traballo e conclúese cunha serie de consideracións sobre o seu compromiso, a súa coherencia e a súa vontade de ofrecer solucións

    This contribution aims to explore, with an attitude that is both humble and rigorous, the linguistic studies of Xesús Alonso Montero. With the aim of reviewing and systematizing the professor’s language studies, the article offers a classification of his publications devoted to the situation of the Galician language from 1952 to 2025. The paper pays particular attention to Alonso Montero’s early career and it concludes with a series of remarks on his life-long commitment, his overall coherence and his willingness to offer solutions
