Spain’s linguistic diversity is still unknown to many people, even within its own borders: theSpanish education system does not consider its study a priority and only integrates the studyof a language other than Spanish in its area of influence, with conditions that depend, to alarge extent, on the legal status of each one. Moreover, there are not many quality teachingresources to deal with this diversity as a whole from the subject of Spanish language andliterature. In response to this problem, PlurilingüES was created: a new project aimed atexplaining Spain’s linguistic diversity to primary and secondary school students, to which werecently contributed with the representation of the Asturian language. The aim of this chapteris to present the general characteristics of PlurilingüES and to describe how the Asturianmaterials were developed, in order to analyse the contributions and opportunities offered bythis resource, as well as the difficulties and challenges arising from this experience
