Primera cita de Eretes cf. griseus (Fabricius, 1781) (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) para la Comunidad de Madrid (España)

    Durante una prospección entomológica realizada el 7 de mayo de 2025 por la ribera del río Manzanares, se registró la presencia de una hembra de Eretes cf. griseus (Fabricius, 1781) (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) en un charco pluvial de carácter temporal ubicado bajo el puente de la vía ferroviaria de alta velocidad (línea AVE Madrid–Sevilla), en el término municipal de Getafe (Madrid, España). Se trata de la primera cita de la especie en la región y resalta el poco valor que la sociedad da a este tipo de hábitats acuáticos efímeros y antropizados.

    During an entomological survey carried out on 7th May 2025 on the banks of the Manzanares River, the presence of a female of Eretes cf. griseus (Fabricius, 1781) (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) was recorded in a temporary rainwater puddle located under the bridge of the high-speed railway line (AVE Madrid-Seville line), in the municipality of Getafe (Madrid, Spain). This is the first record of the species in the region and highlights the little value that society places on this type of ephemeral and anthropized aquatic habitats.
