    En este trabajo se pretende estudiar el navío de línea Santísima Trinidad como culminación del poder naval español. La historia del navío desvela la compleja red de astilleros para la construcción naval, distribuidos por el imperio. El estudio científico-matemático para la excelencia en la construcción y el estudio logístico para el uso de las maderas y su transporte desde los bosques hasta los astilleros. Además, es fruto de una larga tradición marinera al tiempo que de una recién florecida España ilustrada. Y emblema en la mar, por ser el único navío de línea construido con estas características.

    This paper aims to study the Santísima Trinidad ship of the line as the culmination of Spanish naval power. The history of the ship reveals the complex network of shipyards for shipbuilding, distributed throughout the empire. The scientific-mathematical study for excellence in the construction and the logistical study for the use of wood and its transportation from the forests to the shipyards. Furthermore, it is the fruit of a long seafaring tradition as well as of a newly flourishing enlightened Spain. Hence, an emblem at sea for being the only ship of the line built with these characteristics.
