This text aims to present the evolution and appearing of epistemological currents used in research and texts developed in Human Geography. From bibliographic research, it is made a chronological presentation of the approaches used since the first geographical writings until the most recent decades. Initially a brief account was made of the geographical studies that originated the Traditional Geography, passing through the positivist norms imposed by the New Geography, and later following the perspectives that emerged in the period after the Second World War. Finally, we present the decolonialist way of understanding social events and, as a result, the way of analyzing the object of study. At the end of the text, a table is presented with a summary of the main currents of Human Geography
O presente ensaio teórico tem por objetivo apresentar a evolução e o surgimento das correntes epistemológicas utilizadas nas pesquisas e textos desenvolvidos na Geografia Humana. Inicialmente fez-se um relato sucinto dos estudos geográficos que originaram a Geografia Tradicional, passando pelas perspectivas que surgiram no período após a Segunda Guerra Mundial, finalizando com a forma decolonialista de compreender os eventos sociais e, por sua vez, analisar o objeto de estudo.
