This scientific article evaluates the causes that influence emotional well-being and their impact on the school performance of adolescents. Given the current educational context, it is evident that it is more difficult and intricate, so it is necessary to understand how emotions, social and family environment, as well as self-esteem, significantly influence the integral formation of the student. Adolescence, characterized by physical, psychological, and social changes, represents a critical time when emotional experiences can improve or limit school performance. The main objective of this study was to identify and analyze the most relevant emotional aspects that affect the academic process of young people, with the intention of providing ideas and strategies that favor healthier learning environments. To this end, recent research on family dynamics, school pressure, mental health and psychosocial support inside and outside the classroom was evaluated. The results indicate that academic stress, anxiety, family conflicts, and lack of emotional support have a direct negative impact on students' motivation and concentration. On the other hand, those adolescents who enjoy a stable affective environment, healthy relationships and spaces where they can express their emotions show greater school commitment and better academic results. It is concluded that emotional well-being is an essential component for academic success. Therefore, it is urgent that educational institutions adopt a comprehensive approach that promotes mental health, strengthens social-emotional skills, and fosters a culture of empathetic support among teachers, families, and students
