    El objetivo del trabajo es determinar si hay influencia entre los motivos de inicio con el crecimiento de las Pymes. La muestra está compuesta por 84 empresas Pymes de la industria de la Madera de Córdoba. Los datos fueron analizados a través del Modelo de Ecuaciones Estructurales con la asistencia del software Lisrel 8.8. El estudio constató correspondencia entre los motivos de inicio trascendentes, de tipo social y creacional sobre el crecimiento de las Pymes. Asimismo, evidenció que tienen mayor influencia que el alineamiento estratégico. La complejidad del concepto, implica que el trabajo representa solo un punto de partida. Desde esta perspectiva, el aporte del trabajo se remite a fomentar la profundización de este concepto, desde otras disciplinas y con otras metodologías. Además de considerar otros sectores y regiones para constatar las conclusiones.

    The objective of the work is to determine if there is influence between the reasons for starting with the growth of SMEs. The sample is made up of 84 SMEs from the Cordoba wood industry. The data were analyzed through the Structural Equation Model with the assistance of Lisrel 8.8 software. The study found correspondence between the transcendent starting motives, of a social and creational nature, on the growth of SMEs. Likewise, it showed that they have greater influence than strategic alignment. The complexity of the concept implies that the work represents only a starting point. From this perspective, the contribution of the work refers to promoting the deepening of this concept, from other disciplines and with other methodologies. In addition to considering other sectors and regions to verify the conclusions.
