    Este artículo busca dar a conocer la importancia urbanística que la Universidad salmantina adquirió en la ciudad durante los siglos XV y XVII a partir de sus edificios y construcciones. A través de las fuentes documentales disponibles, se ha ofrecido una nueva interpretación de cómo todas estas edificaciones, más allá de configurar una imagen singular dentro de la ciudad, representaron el poder que el Estudio salmantino alcanzó en este periodo. Para ello, se tomarán como referencia los espacios propios, los espacios asociados y los espacios informales, siendo todos ellos responsables de la creación del primer barrio universitario dentro de la ciudad.

    This article seeks to shed light on the importance of urban planning that the University of Salamanca acquired in the city during the 15th and 17th centuries through its buildings and constructions. Using available documentary sources, this article offers a new interpretation of how all these buildings, beyond creating a unique image within the city, represented the power that the University of Salamanca achieved during this period. To this end, the University's own spaces, associated spaces, and informal spaces will be considered as references, all of which were responsible for the creation of the first university district within the city.
