La comedia El imposible más fácil se publicó atribuida a Calderón de forma fraudulenta en el siglo xvii, para, en el xviii, haberse asociado al dramaturgo portugués Matos Fragoso. Además, esta obra solo se ha transmitido en sueltas y gozó de una gran fortuna editorial. Pese a ello, hasta la fecha no se ha investigado el número de ediciones conocidas, el origen y la posible intencionalidad de este cambio autorial, ni el momento en el que se lleva a cabo. Tras estudiar las ediciones y ejemplares localizados, procuraremos dilucidar su historia con la ayuda de los métodos de la bibliografía material y de la crítica textual, así como analizar el problema de la autoría a la luz de la estilometría.

The comedia El imposible más fácil was published fraudulently attributed to Calderón in the 17th century, only to be associated with the portuguese playwright Matos Fragoso in the 18th century. Moreover, this text has only been transmitted in chapbooks and enjoyed a great publishing fortune. However, the number of known editions, the origin and possible intentionality of this authorial change, and the time at which it took place, have not been investigated to date. After studying the editions and copies located, we will attempt to elucidate its history with the help of the methods of material bibliography and textual criticism and to analyse the problem of authorship in the light of stylometry.
