The current situation of 16 variables that characterize food sovereignty was analyzed to identify the relationship between them. The analysis of the variables was deepened by comparing them with variables from countries similar to Mexico, in order to select the most significant variables for a later study regarding a quantitative measurement of the term in a period from 1995 to 2023. This is a quantitative research, the data was taken from the World Bank. Through the evaluation coefficient and exploratory analysis, the reliability and relationship between the data is verified. It was found that, of the 16 variables, 12 are statistically significant and four are not. And the comparison of the results with similar countries, the variables were surpassed.
