    La explotación de la cantera de materiales de la construcción Castellano, en la provincia de Pinar del Río, provoca impactos negativos al medio ambiente. Se propuso un plan de medidas para mitigar los efectos negativos que la cantera ocasiona al medio, el cual, además, favorece el fortalecimiento de las consecuencias positivas que produce la explotación del yacimiento sobre el medio ambiente. Las medidas elaboradas permiten mitigar los efectos negativos y potenciar los positivos que produce la explotación del yacimiento sobre el medio ambiente.

    : The exploitation of the quarry of construction materials Castellano, in Pinar del Río, causes negative impacts to the environment. A plan of measures was proposed to mitigate the negative effects that the quarry causes to the environment, which, in addition, favors the strengthening of the positive consequences of exploitation of the deposit on the environment. The elaborated measures allow to mitigate the negative effects and to enhance the positive ones that the exploitation of the deposit takes place on the environment.
