Demóstenes en el Corpus Lucianeum: contribución al problema de la autenticidad del Encomium Demosthenis

    El Encomio a Demóstenes forma parte de las obras consideradas de dudosa autenticidad del corpus Lucianeum. Aunque tradicionalmente ha sido tenida por inauténtica por su lengua y estilo poco cuidados y por la consistente evitación del hiato, recientemente se han enfatizado aspectos compositivos para afirmar su autenticidad. Como contribución al problema de la autoría, este trabajo ofrece un estudio comparativo del tratamiento de la figura de Demóstenes en el corpus Lucianeum y el Encomio a Demóstenes a partir de las referencias textuales al orador en ambos conjuntos, en la idea de que este aspecto particular, ignorado en los estudios recientes, también debe ser tenido en cuenta, junto a otros, en la valoración de la posible autenticidad lucianesca del Encomio a Demóstenes.

    The Demosthenis Encomiumis one of the works considered of doubtful authenticity in the corpus Lucianeum. Although its inauthenticity is based on its poor language and style and on the consistent avoidance of the hiatus, recently, compositional aspects have been emphasized to affirm its authenticity. As a contribution to the problem of the authorship, this paper offers a comparative study of the treatment of the Demosthenic figure in the corpus Lucianeumand the Demosthenis Encomiumbased on the references to the orator in both sets, in the belief that this aspect, ignored in recent studies, should be consideredin the assessment of the possible authenticity of the Demosthenis Encomium.
