    En la parte de los Miracula Sancti Benedicti que fue redactada por André de Fleury hacia mediados del siglo XI, hay el relato de una batalla ocurrida en Torà (un pueblo de la actual comar. ca del Solsonès, en Cataluña) entre un ejército califal y una hueste cristiana. Ese texto ya ha sido destacado por los interesantes datos que ofrece sobre la realidad política de los condados catalanes a principios del siglo XI y por ser uno de los primeros testimonios en los que se ve con claridad la sacralización de la lucha contra los musulmanes. En el presente artículo, discuto la veracidad del hecho narrado y su cronología. Asimismo, analizo una hipotética relación entre las batallas de Torà y de Albesa (1003).

    In the section of the Miracula Sancti Benedicti written by André de Fleury in the mid-11th century, there is an account of a battle that took place in Torà (a village in the present-day district of Solsonès, in Catalonia) between Caliphate and Christian troops. This text has already been highlighted for the interesting information it provides on the political situation of the Catalan counties in the early 11th century and for being one of the first witness accounts that clearly shows the sacralisation of the struggle against the Muslims. This article discusses the veracity and chronology of the events narrated, and analyses a hypothetical relationship between the battles of Torà and Albesa (1003).
