    Estudio comparativo de dos significativas figuras, Beatriz de Enciso y Torres y Ana Verdugo de Castilla, religiosas en el granadino Convento del Santo Ángel Custodio, y condicionadas en buena medida por el contexto histórico cultural de su época. La primera, en el siglo XVII, experimentará éxtasis y otros fenómenos sobrenaturales, alcanzando fama de santidad en vida, y siendo por ello conminada a escribir una autobiografía por mandato. Por el contrario, la segunda, en el siglo XVIII recibirá una esmeradísima educación y su obra literaria se difundirá incluso en una institución tan típicamente dieciochesca como la Academia del Buen Gusto (Madrid).

    A comparative study of two significant figures, Beatriz de Enciso y Torres and Ana Verdugo de Castilla, nuns in the Convent of Santo Ángel Custodio in Granada, and conditioned to a large extent by their times. The former, in the 17th century, experienced ecstasies and other supernatural phenomena, achieving a reputation for sanctity during her lifetime, and was therefore ordered to write an autobiography by order. On the other hand, the latter, in the 18th century, would receive a very careful education and her literary work would be disseminated even in such a typically eight- eenth-century institution as the Academia del Buen Gusto (Madrid).
