The goal of first research was to evaluate the effect of sex and partner relationship dimensions (emotionalvs sexual) on the emotional answer to a situation of infidelity making jealousy. 183 adults (120 womenand 63 men) participated in this study. Participants indicate the emotional reactions provoked by anhypothetical emotional infidelity, and by an hypothetical sexual infidelity of their partners. Resultsshowed that females and males feel worse than men after discovering an emotional infidelity.Nevertheless, the importance ascribed by the participants to the partner relationship dimensions have alsoan influence on the type of infidelity considered more stressing.In the second study 272 participants (214 women and 58 men) were surveyed regarding their reactionsabout partner infidelity and theirs attachment styles. Results showed that females and males feel worsethan men after discovering an emotional infidelity and that the attachment style didn´t influence in theirsresponses
