    A través de la persuasión y elocuencia, Yourofsky ha logrado captar a diversas audiencias a lo largo del tiempo, cambiando la percepción del consumo de productos de origen animal. OBJETIVO. Esta investigación presenta un análisis de la retórica del discurso del activista para examinar el impacto de su mensaje en la sociedad en relación con el especismo y crueldad hacia los animales. MÉTODO. Se trabajó desde un enfoque cualitativo, utilizando el análisis del discurso, y los aportes de Saldaña. El estudio se basa en la clasificación de los discursos, estrategias retóricas empleadas, las voces presentes y los contextos socioculturales para examinar el diálogo crítico sobre el veganismo. También se enfatiza la investigación sobre el creciente interés en el mejoramiento del bienestar animal, partiendo de las preocupaciones que tiene la sociedad sobre un sistema sostenible a lo largo del tiempo. RESULTADOS. Los argumentos encontrados evidenciaron la retórica anti especista basada en la disonancia ética DISCUSIÓN Y CONCLUSIONES. Se evidencia estrategias discursivas que promueven el veganismo como imperativo ético ante la crueldad animal.

    Through persuasion and eloquence, Yourofsky has managed to capture diverse audiences over time, changing the perception of the consumption of animal products. OBJECTIVE. This research presents an analysis of the rhetoric of the activist's speech to examine the impact of his message on society in relation to speciesism and cruelty to animals. METHOD. We worked from a qualitative approach, using discourse analysis and Saldaña's contributions. The study is based on the classification of discourses, rhetorical strategies employed, the voices present and the sociocultural contexts to examine the critical dialogue on veganism. It also emphasizes research on the growing interest in the improvement of animal welfare, starting from society's concerns about a sustainable system over time. RESULTS. The arguments found evidenced the antispeciesist rhetoric based on ethical dissonance DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS. There is evidence of discursive strategies that promote veganism as an ethical imperative in the face of animal cruelty.
