De Safo a Sulpicia

    En este artículo trato de establecer aquellos elementos desarrollados en la lírica arcaica griega por Safo que son recogidos en la obra de las poetas romanas Sulpicia, la elegíaca, y Sulpicia, la erótica. Esta influencia de Safo se articula en un doble sentido: como poeta perteneciente al canon alejandrino de la lírica griega y, por tanto, conocida por los poetas latinos, pero además como figura inspiradora de la poeta mujer. Por otro lado, se analizará la obra de las poetas romanas dentro de los géneros poéticos que cultivan y dentro de la propia tradición literaria romana, en cuanto a la influencia que pudieron ejercer y el conocimiento que los propios romanos tenían de ellas. Finalmente, dedicaré un apartado a la cuestión de la autoría de la Sulpiciae Conquestio.

    In this article, I explore the elements of Greek archaic lyric poetry developed by Sappho that are taken up in the work of the Roman poets Sulpicia the Elegiac and Sulpicia the Erotic. Sappho's influence is evident in two ways: firstly, as a poet belonging to the Alexandrian canon of Greek lyric poetry, which was known by the Latin poets; and secondly, as an inspirational figure for female poets. Conversely, the works of the Roman poets will be analyzed in terms of the influence they exerted and the knowledge the Romans had of them, within the poetic genres they cultivated and the Roman literary tradition itself. Finally, a section will be dedicated to the issue of authorship of the Sulpiciae Conquestio.
