Resumen de Análisis de riesgos financieros en empresas del sector del transporte: una aplicación práctica en la EMT de Madrid

  La actual interconexión de las economías de los países en un mundo cada vez más globalizado conlleva que cualquier ajuste realizado en alguna de ellas afecte al resto de manera inmediata. De ahí que la necesidad de adoptar métodos y procedimientos para la identificación y control de riesgos, cada vez más complejos, seconsidere como una herramienta clave en las empresas.El presente trabajo pretende analizar la tipología de riesgos que existen en el ámbito financiero e identificar los mismos en empresas que pertenecen al sector del transporte urbano colectivo de autobuses, habiendo escogido para ello, a la EMT de Madrid, que tiene como objeto social la explotación mediante gestión directa del servicio de transporte público urbano en dicha ciudad. El Ayuntamiento de Madrid posee el 100% de las acciones de laSociedad, por lo que la EMT es una entidad íntegramente pública. El desarrollo del estudio trata de aplicar la teoría de riesgos financieros a una empresa del sector del transporte público colectivo que tiene una creciente importancia en la sociedad, además del interés, cada vez mayor, que ha despertado en el ámbito de la investigación en los últimos años. Se trata de identificar qué tipo de riesgos financieros concurren en las empresas del sector indicado y, en su caso, analizar el impacto de los mismos.Para obtener los distintos ratios e indicadores, se ha utilizado como referencia los datos promedio de las cuentas anuales del ejercicio 2009, por ser los que estaban disponibles a la fecha del inicio del trabajo. Finalmente, se han identificado las políticas empleadas por la empresa para hacer frente a dichos riesgos, evaluando, a su vez, su efectividad

  The current interconnection of countries economies in the actual Globalized World means that any adjustment realized in some of them affects to the rest of an immediate way. This issue implies to adopt methods and procedures for the identification and control of risks, more and more complexes. It is considered to be a key tool in the companies.The present work tries to analyze the typology of risks that exist in the financial ambience and try to identify it in companies of urban transport by buses. We have chosen for it the EMT of Madrid, which takes the development as a corporative aim by means of direct management of the service of urban public transport in the above mentioned city. The Town hall of Madrid possesses 100 % of the shares of the Company, therefore the EMT is an entity entirely public.The development of the study processes of applying the theory of financial risks to a company of the sector of the collective public transport that has an increasing importance in the company, in addition to the interest, every time major, that has woken up in the ambience of the investigation in the last years. It processes of identifying what font of financial risks they meet in the companies of the stated sector and, in this case, to analyze the impact of the same ones.To obtain the different ratios and indicators, we have used Financial Statements of the EMT company of the year 2009, for being those that were available to the date of commencement of the study. Finally, the politics used by the company has been identified to face to the above mentioned risks, evaluating, in turn, its effectiveness
