El presente trabajo trata de mostrar, por un lado, la superposición dejurisdicciones sobre el Mar Menor y los intereses derivados de ellas. La reparaciónde la Encañizada en 1763 en un momento de extrema fragilidad productiva yeconómica para Murcia puso de manifiesto la difícil convivencia con la Salina delPinatar. Por otro lado, el ejemplo documentado saca a la luz la dualidad entre podercentral, la Corona, y el poder local, el Ayuntamiento de Murcia, donde el primeroacabó imponiendo su criterio sobre el segundo. El centralismo borbónico prevaleciósobre la libertad de acción de la institución municipal.

This paper attempts to show, on the one hand, the overlapping jurisdictionsover the Mar Menor and the interests derived from them. The repair ofthe Encañizada in 1763 at a time of extreme productive and economic fragility forMurcia highlighted the difficult coexistence with the Salina del Pinatar. On theother hand, the documented example brings to light the duality between the centralpower, the Crown, and the local power, the Murcia City Council, where theformer ended up imposing its criterion on the latter. Bourbon centralism prevailedover the freedom of action of the municipal institution.
