    El presente artículo pretende referir las diferentes aportaciones que, sobre Patrolo-gía, ofrecieron numerosos autores españoles bajo la categoría de manual en el último cuarto del siglo XIX y en el primero del siguiente. Las características comunes que de ellas se extraen no sólo permiten hablar de una escuela bien definida, sino también de una válida argumentación teológica que posibilitó la primera difusión y precisa definición de la Patrología en España.

    This article aims to reveal the different contributions that numerous authors offered on Patrology under the category of manual in the last quarter of the 19th century and in the first quarter of the following century. The common characteristics that are extracted from them not only allow us to speak of a well-defined school, but also of a valid theological argumentation in them, that made possible the first dissemination and precise definition of Patrology in Spain.
