    El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar las dimensiones textuales, literarias y discursivas bajo las que el escritor Carlos Droguett representa la violencia histórica ocurrida en Chile. Para ello, se toma como referencia principal la novela póstuma del autor, Matar a los viejos (2001), publicada por LOM Ediciones. A través de la propuesta estética y narrativa del autor es posible reconocer que, junto con representar ficcionalmente la violencia, se abre un espacio literario, excepcional, para la instauración de una revolución.

    The objective of this article is to analyze the textual, literary and discursive dimensions under which the Chilean writer Carlos Droguett represents the historical violence that occurred in Chile. For this, the posthumous novel by the author Matar a los viejos (2001), published by LOM Ediciones in Chile, is taken as the main reference. Through the author’s aesthetic and narrative proposal, it is possible to recognize that, along with fictionally representing violence, the author opens an exceptional literary space for the establishment of a revolution.
