    • Embryologic maldevelopment of hypothalamic-pituitary (HP) structures can present in the neonate with combined pituitary hormone deficiency (CPHD), that is, clinical deficiencies in one or more anterior pituitary hormones (growth hormone [GH], adrenocorticotropic hormone [ACTH], thyroid-stimulating hormone [TSH], luteinizing hormone [LH], and follicle-stimulating hormone [FSH]), and less often, posterior pituitary arginine vasopressin (AVP) deficiency.
