    Este artículo reflexiona filosóficamente sobre la naturaleza de la palabra poética en Juan Ramón Jiménez y el vínculo que mantiene con la realidad. La meta de la poesía pura de Juan Ramón es conseguir que la palabra llegue a ser la cosa misma, el nombre exacto de las cosas. La cosa es el elemento fundamental, pero esta preponderancia de la cosa no convierte su poética en un realismo extremo. Tam- poco es un idealismo, pues la cosa existe con independencia de la poesía. Su po- sición final combina el realismo con el poder poético de recrear las cosas desde el alma del poeta.

    This article reflects philosophically on the nature of the poetic word in Juan Ramón Jiménez and the link it maintains with reality. The goal of Juan Ramón’s pure poetry is to make the word become the thing itself, the exact name of things.

    The thing is the fundamental element, but this preponderance of the thing does not turn his poetics into an extreme real- ism. Nor is it an idealism, for the thing exists independently of poetry. His final position combines realism with the po- etic power to recreate things from the poet’s soul.
