    Este estudio bibliométrico examina la producción científica sobre educación financiera entre 2015 y 2024, utilizando datos de Web of Science. Se buscó identificar tendencias, actores clave y brechas en la investigación, con énfasis en países con baja inclusión financiera como México. Se analizaron 23,864 documentos mediante filtros por acceso abierto, tipo y año. Se observó un crecimiento constante en publicaciones, destacando entre 2019 y 2022, influido por la pandemia y la complejidad de los mercados. Estados Unidos y Reino Unido lideraron la producción, mientras que México tuvo una participación mínima. Las universidades de Londres y California fueron las más productivas. Las principales áreas temáticas fueron Economía, Gestión, Sustentabilidad y Educación, mostrando un enfoque interdisciplinario. El estudio evidencia desigualdad en la generación de conocimiento y urge fortalecer redes regionales de investigación. También se sugiere implementar políticas para mejorar la educación financiera en economías emergentes. Los hallazgos enriquecen el debate académico y político, y orientan futuras investigaciones.

    This bibliometric study examines the scientific production of financial education between 2015 and 2024 using data from the Web of Science. It aimed to identify trends, key actors, and research gaps, with a focus on countries with low financial inclusion, such as Mexico. A total of 23,864  documents were analyzed using filters for open access, type, and year of publication. A steady growth in publications was observed, peaking between 2019 and 2022, likely influenced by the pandemic and increasing market complexity. The United States and the United Kingdom led research output, while Mexico had minimal participation. The University of London and the University of California system were the most productive institutions. The main thematic areas were Economics, Management, Sustainability Science and Education, reflecting an interdisciplinary approach. The study highlights inequalities in knowledge production and calls for strengthening regional research networks. It also suggests implementing policies to improve financial literacy in emerging economies. The findings contribute to academic and policy debates and guide future research efforts.
