The chapter outlines the essential components of being a Filipino occupational therapy student, from what academic track to focus on during senior high school, to the courses to take within the four-year program, and to board examination preparation. Student characteristics are also discussed, specifically gender, cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic contexts, which shape how occupational therapy programs are sustained and what kind of graduates these programs produce. The chapter continues with a discussion on emerging trends in today’s occupational therapy schools in the Philippines, including internationalization programs, student organizations, and interprofessional learning. We end the chapter with a critical discourse on contemporary occupational therapy education issues and development in the country.
