The paper focuses on the use of ICT technologies as a tool for the study of urban transformations and as a means to disseminate urban History to a broader audience. The topic is tackled by analysing an ongoing project financed by the Lazio Region called: "Roma150. A participatory portal for knowledge of the Capital (1870-2020)". The project is led by Roma Tre University and involves the three public universities of the capital, numerous cultural institutions and a private enterprise (Risviel).
