  • As a forward-thinking activity, planning connects scientific and technical knowledge to public actions. Planning Support Systems (PSS) are specialized tools that use geo-information technology to improve planning procedures. In Albania, urban planning adheres to a top-down approach. The present procedures for creating Local Detailed Plans (LDPs) are limited, resulting in time-consuming and prone to errors. This paper proposes a PSS for drafting LDPs in Albania, leveraging artificial intelligence to automate the process engaging the public and stakeholders for increased efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
