This work investigates high-temperature effects in urban spaces. The multi-scaled approach to the case study of Rome Testaccio aims to evaluate the impact of urban heat islands due to overheating through the use of BIM-based simulations (Autodesk Revit and Insight) and the effectiveness of parametric simulations (Grasshopper for Rhino) to design shadow systems integrating the geometry area with solar behavior. This approach tries to find a balance between urban cooling and lightweight comfort.
