Irrigation canals in agriculture can be used as sources of electrical energy to meet various electrical needs. These canal systems conduct water flows with characteristic pressures through various infrastructures that allow the incorporation of turbines for the generation of electricity. This article presents the design of different types of turbines with the aim of generating electricity, and details the experimentation carried out by installing the different types of turbines in an irrigation system. The study evaluates the electrical generation capacity of each of the turbines, analyzing their efficiency in the agricultural sector.
