    La cultura de los libros entre los religiosos que vivieron en Nueva España fue muy rica, diversa y dinámica. Durante esos siglos, la circulación y el comercio de libros en este territorio aumento y se consolidó gradualmente formando parte de las redes familiares y clientelares del mercado del libro europeo. Como excepción en esas redes, existieron otras conformadas desde las órdenes religiosas capaces de abastecer la enorme cantidad de instituciones establecidas en todos los territorios, especialmente aquellos bajo el gobierno de la Monarquía española. La Compañía de Jesús fue notoria por el complejo entramado que construyó para abastecer sus casas de lo necesario, incluyendo libros. Este texto muestra una compra de libros del siglo XVII para los jesuitas novohispanos.

    The book culture among the religious who lived in New Spain was very rich, diverse and dynamic. During those centuries, the circulation and trade of books in this territory increased and was gradually consolidated as part of the family networks and clientele of the European book market. As an exception in there networks, there were others formed from religious orders capable of supplying the huge number of institutions established in all territories, especially those under the rule of the Spanish monarchy. The Society of Jesus was notorious for the complex network it built to supply their homes with necessities, including books. This text shows a purchase of 17th century books for the colonial Jesuits.
