  • This research aims to investigate the evolution and the modification of the territory of Vesuvius by researching the roots of this process through the comparison between nineteenth and twentieth century cartographies, analysing and comparing them with the evolution of existing laws of protection. The intent is to create a territorial information system that can be at the service of regional, provincial and municipal authorities for the proper management of coastal stretches.
