This article analyses the distinctive features of French immigrants from the 16th and 17th centuries established in those Catalan towns with the highest population according to the 1553 census. The study of the proportion of French immigrants, their professions, their origin, the presence of French-origin priests, and the existence of French tombs and brotherhoods will allow us to determine if specific and unique behavioural patterns are detected between urban and rural areas.
