Dealing with the theme of landscape today means coming to terms with an 'emergency' complexity: on the one hand, the adoption of alternative energy sources to stem the energy crisis, and on the other, the defence of a landscape entity. The paper deals with the Tuscan case of the Val di Chiana, where research is being conducted for the configuration of a cultural backbone that implements the fruition of resources with the issues connected to a compatible use of the land and its agricultural use, in line with energy instances.
