The COVID-19 pandemic brought major changes to education, especially in hands-on learning like laboratory work. This situation led to new ways of learning from a distance, some of which could be helpful even after the pandemic. In this paper, I discuss my experience in setting up a remote acoustics educational lab where students did experiments at home. I created several acoustics experiments that could be performed using everyday items, ensuring that they were accurate and covered various acoustics concepts. Even as pandemic-related restrictions eased, I continued to offer the course in the same format. My evaluations show that this approach worked well and suggest keeping most of it even in a post-pandemic landscape.
