Resumen de Patrimonio industrial y género: las mujeres como agentes de memoria

Desde los estudios críticos del patrimonio, numerosos trabajos dan cuenta de cómo objetos y/o prácticas devienen en patrimonio y cuáles son los discursos que los legitiman. Por tanto, se cuestiona la neutralidad del concepto y se contemplan las diferencias étnicas, de clase, de edad y de género en los procesos de patrimonialización. Sustentándonos en planteos teóricos que afirman que el patrimonio tiene género en tanto recupera y reproduce una visión del pasado esencialmente androcéntrica, este artículo reflexiona sobre un proceso de patrimonialización industrial en una pequeña localidad argentina. De esta manera, y a través del análisis de un sitio recuperado en la localidad de Sierras Bayas, nos proponemos examinar qué implica la presencia de mujeres como agentes del patrimonio, cómo esto altera las concepciones tradicionales del concepto, cuáles son los nuevos interrogantes que emergen y cuáles son los desafíos futuros para materializar un discurso patrimonial con perspectiva de género.

From the perspective of critical heritage studies, numerous researches have examined how objects and/or practices become heritage and the discourses that legitimise them. Therefore, the neutrality of the concept is questioned and ethnic, class, age and gender differences in heritage processes are considered. Based on theoretical approaches that affirm that heritage has gender insofar that it recovers and reproduces an essentially androcentric vision of the past, this article reflects on a process of industrial heritage in a small Argentinean town. In this way, and through the analysis of a recovered site in the town of Sierras Bayas, we propose to examine what the presence of women as agents of heritage implies, how this modifies the traditional conceptions of the concept, what are the new questions that emerge and what are the future challenges to materialise a heritage discourse with a gender perspective.
