O mal a ser punido e seus efeitos públicos: o exercício da violência ética contra “vilãs” bíblicas no consórcio entre a Record e a Universal

    Record Network has been broadcasting series and soap operas with biblical themes since 2010. This article investigates an economy of affects and identifications around female figures associated with "evil" in these narratives, which can be read as devices for a micropolitics of emotions (Lutz; Abu-Lughod, 1990). Methodologically, it follows the discourse of the productions (official) and about the productions (from their audiences), on pages and social networks, conceived as spaces of scaled sociability (Miller et al., 2019). It is perceived in the plot of these productions an affinity with pastoral initiatives regarding the government of conduct by representatives of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. The analysis highlights the material elaborated by Universal Church members about the biblical productions, particularly the justification of the killability of these female figures associated with evil – hence the importance of reflecting on their effects as a public emission of a discourse on ethical action.

    A Rede Record vem veiculando séries e telenovelas de temática bíblica desde 2010. Este artigo investiga uma economia de afetos e identificações em torno de figuras femininas associadas ao “mal” nessas narrativas, que podem ser lidas como dispositivos para uma micropolítica das emoções (Lutz; Abu-Lughod, 1990). Metodologicamente, acompanha o discurso das produções (oficiais) e sobre as produções (da parte dos seus públicos), em páginas e redes sociais, pensadas como espaços de sociabilidade escalonada (Miller et al., 2019). Percebe-se no enredo dessas produções uma afinidade com iniciativas pastorais a respeito do governo de condutas por representantes da Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus. Destaca-se na análise do material elaborado por membros da Universal sobre as produções bíblicas a justificação da matabilidade dessas figuras femininas associadas ao mal – daí a importância em refletir sobre seus efeitos como emissão pública de um discurso sobre o agir ético.
